Can I list art & antiques on eBay from one inventory?

Yes. On KANDINSKY's Pro plan (€80 a month), dealers and galleries connect an eBay seller account and list pieces from the same inventory as their website. Prices and sold status stay in step both ways, so nothing sells twice, and one template writes every eBay title. eBay's own fees still apply.

SYNCS
Prices, both ways: change a price in KANDINSKY or on eBay and the other updates. Sold status, both ways: a piece sold on eBay is marked sold in KANDINSKY, and a piece sold anywhere else is marked sold on eBay. Titles, from your listing template: sent to eBay when a piece is listed, and again when you change the template. Descriptions: sent once, when a piece is listed.
YOU NEED
An eBay seller account. Shipping, payment and return policies and an item location in eBay Seller Hub.
BEST FOR
Dealers and galleries with posters, prints, antiques and collectibles who want eBay's buyers without a second stock list.

HOW IT WORKS

How do I connect eBay?

In 4 steps:

  1. Set up shipping, payment and return policies and an item location in eBay Seller Hub.
  2. In KANDINSKY, open SELL, then the CHANNELS tab, and press CONNECT on the eBay card.
  3. Sign in to eBay when asked and approve the connection.
  4. Your pieces are listed on eBay from the same records as your website, and prices and sold status stay in step both ways.

WHO IT SUITS

Who is eBay for?

Posters and prints
Collectors search eBay by artist, title and year, which is what the listing template puts in every title.
Antiques and collectibles
Fixed-price listings reach eBay's buyers while the same pieces stay on your own website.
Vintage design and furniture
Best for pieces you can ship; your shipping policies in eBay Seller Hub decide what you offer.
Galleries with original art
An extra channel for lower-priced works and editions, alongside your website and specialist marketplaces.

HOW TO

How do dealers use eBay with KANDINSKY?

How do I sell on eBay and my own website without selling a piece twice?

  1. Connect eBay in SELL, then CHANNELS.
  2. Your pieces are listed on eBay from the same records as your website, so there is one stock list, not two.
  3. When a piece sells on eBay, KANDINSKY marks it sold everywhere; when it sells on your website or in person, it is marked sold on eBay.
  4. Change a price in either place and the other follows.

How do I write eBay titles for every piece at once?

  1. In SELL, then CHANNELS, open LISTING TEMPLATE on the eBay card.
  2. Build the title from fields (Title, Artist, Year, Medium, Medium category, Edition, Condition) and your own words, for example "Vintage Soviet {{title}} {{creationYear}} {{artistNames}}".
  3. Empty or hidden fields are left out, and titles are cut to eBay's 80 characters. The preview shows how a title will look.
  4. Save, and your live eBay listings are retitled.

How do I see what is listed and what has sold on eBay?

  1. The eBay card in SELL, then CHANNELS, shows LIVE WORKS, SALES and AMOUNT.
  2. VIEW opens your active listings in eBay Seller Hub, on your own marketplace (eBay United Kingdom, eBay US, eBay Germany…).
  3. eBay sales also appear in SALES, with your other sales.

LIMITS

What are the limits?

  • eBay charges its own selling fees, set by eBay.
  • Integrations are part of the Pro plan (€80 a month), as listed on the pricing page.

FAQ

What else do dealers ask?

If I change a price in KANDINSKY, does eBay update?
Yes. Prices stay in step both ways, so a change in KANDINSKY or on eBay updates the other.
If I edit a title on eBay, does KANDINSKY change?
No. Titles and descriptions go from KANDINSKY to eBay. Edits made on eBay stay on eBay, and the next template change replaces the title.
Which eBay countries does it work with?
The marketplace of your eBay seller account, for example eBay United Kingdom, eBay US or eBay Germany. The eBay card shows which one you're connected to.
Does eBay still charge fees if I list through KANDINSKY?
Yes. eBay's own insertion and final value fees apply as they would for any listing. See eBay's selling fees page.
What if eBay stops accepting my login?
The eBay card shows RECONNECT. Until you reconnect, eBay sales aren't read and listings aren't updated.
What happens to my listings if I disconnect?
Your eBay listings end. Your pieces stay in KANDINSKY.
